Following active service in Afghanistan, the Argyl and Sutherland Highlanders, 5th Battalion, Royal Regiment of Scotland have been celebrating their homecoming on the 12th of May 2011, by accepting there Afghanistan campaign Medals. After this they were exercising there rights of freedom (by parading in traditional Scottish Kilts) through Canterbury, before proceeding to the Cathedral for a service of remembrance. They were accompanied by their regimental mascot, Cruchan, a Shetland pony.
