Image of Sir Richard Stagg took up the position of British Ambassador to Afghanistan,

On the 18th of July 2012, the Prime Minister, David Cameron visited Camp Bastion in Helmand Province, Afghanistan.

His visit was to observe the progress within Afghanistan politically and military; Whilst this was done the PM visited troops within Lashka Gar and Forward Operation Base Shawqat. At Shawqat he visited the Royal Anglians who have an important role of being part of the Brigade Advisory Group for the Afghanistan National Army.
